WEBCT VISTA
WebCT (Web Course Tools) Vista version 3 is the supported
course management system at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The
application enables you to create and manage fully online (web-based)
courses as well as intramural (web-enhanced) courses. Establishing a web
presence for your courses can be as simple or as complex as desired.
WebCT Vista account requests
Faculty members are required to attend a WebCT Vista Orientation
session presented by the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) staff.
It is possible to sign up online for the training by accessing the following

Development section request
A development section allows you to create a prototype of your course
and become familiar with WebCT Vista’s features and tools. If your
course is not currently listed in the PeopleSoft system, we recommend
that your request a development site. Faculty may request that a development
site be created at any time. It is not possible to enroll students into
development sites however a development site can be copied to the current
